Inside Bruce Willis’ 68th birthday celebrations with rare family snaps after dementia diagnosis
Bruce Willis celebrates his 68th birthday surrounded by his family including five daughters, wife Emma Heming Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore following his dementia diagnosis.
On Sunday Demi Moore took to Instagram to wish her ex-husband a happy 68th birthday, who was diagnosed with dementia earlier this year.
The following day the 60 year old actress shared several snaps of the Die Hard actor's birthday celebrations with his family with the caption "More from Bruce’s birthday yesterday".
His five daughters were pictured with him, Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 29 – his daughters with Demi and Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, eight, who he shares with Emma.
The family all posed outdoors for a group shot with a backdrop of Los Angeles as they shared and treasured special moments celebrating Bruce's birthday.
They were all dressed casually with bright and cheerful smiles across their faces as each daughter took a photo alongside their father – overflowing with love and admiration.
A photo was also captured of Demi with their youngest daughter Tallulah, who sported a choppy pixie haircut and Bruce Willis white t-shirt.
A sweet and intimate moment with model and wife Emma was also shown as she put her hands around her husband's head and held him close.
The family also posed for another group photo outdoors on the patio with Bruce sitting on the outdoor furniture surrounded by love, with his pregnant daughter Rumer and her partner Derek Thomas, daughter Scout and her boyfriend Jake also joining for the celebrations.
Bruce wore a quilted navy jacket along with a grey scarf at times, he was also pictured wearing a black hat with 'Actor' embroidered on the front which his ex-wife Demi later posed with.
He also had on a cosy grey jumper with his initial BW sewn on – only the iconic actor could pull this off.
Demi's previous post showed the family gathered in the kitchen singing happy birthday to Bruce and presenting him with a candlelit apple pie followed by high fives, laughter and a kiss from Emma Heming.
In the caption of the video Demi wrote: "Happy birthday, BW! So glad we could celebrate you today. Love you and love our family. Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes — we all feel them".
Emma who has been married to Bruce for around 13 years shared a close-up shot of the delicious-looking apple pie and wrote over the photo "I tried to get a pumpkin pie" – noting that pumpkin is his favourite.
Adding: "That was a no-go. Apple pie is his second favourite".
She also shared an Instagram post alongside a reel of videos of the two of them with the caption: "He is pure love. He is so loved. And I’ll be loving him always. Happy Birthday my sweet.
"My birthday wish for Bruce is that you continue to keep him in your prayers and highest vibrations because his sensitive Pisces soul will feel it. Thank you so much for loving and caring for him too".
Emma had previously shared an emotional message addressing her husband's dementia diagnosis on his birthday, sharing that she had "started the morning by crying" adding "I just think it's important you see all sides of this".
In the caption of the emotional video, she wrote: "Today is one of those days of feeling the grief and sadness. But the silver lining or the flip side is that I’m so lucky to feel your warmth and love that is directed to my husband and our family.
"I see your messages, your stories that you share, and all I can say is thank you. Your connection helps me and I hope it helps you in a small way to know that I see you and I deeply understand your journey as well".
