Thousands have been ‘deeply offended’ by one of the gifts included in the ‘luxury’ Dior Christmas advent calendar, which costs a staggering $3,500.

Jackie Aina, a TikToker and YouTuber from the US, purchased the limited edition La Collection Privée Christian Dior advent calendar and shared a video of herself unboxing one of the 24 drawers.

It started off well with miniature versions of the brand’s soap bars, fragrances and a scented candle.

But day six completely shocked the 35-year-old when it turned out to be the silver lid from the candle of the previous window.

After one day the clip exceeded more than 2.6million views, with many being left lost for words.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Dior Australia for comment.

During the unboxing, Jackie said: ‘I’ve got a bigger drawer, box number six… Ooh [it’s] something shiny.’

Her disappointment is heard after realising the true purpose of the silver disc.

‘Oh girl, the lid to the candle I think? Um okay,’ she said and laughed nervously before placing the lid onto the candle.

‘A lid to the candle… Whatever that means.’

On Monday Jackie posted another video and continued to open the proceeding drawers – and revealed exactly what she thought.

‘So far I have to say, it is what it is, but it ain’t that great,’ she admitted.

On day 11 she also received another candle and many fear the following drawer will be another lid.

Jackie also pointed out four of the gifts – the miniature fragrances – shouldn’t be included.

‘I’m not gonna lie these don’t even count because – lovely scents aside – these come as a free gift with purchases if you shop on Dior.com,’ Jackie said.

In the comments, TikTokers were livid over the inclusion of a candle lid as its own day in the advent calendar.

‘WAIT. Excuse me, they dedicated a whole advent calendar day for a lid for your candle,’ one person wrote.

Another added: ‘Nah Dior we expected more – literally.’

A third said: ‘This woman bought the $3,500 Dior advent calendar and you’re telling me one of the days included a candle and then a SEPARATE day was the LID to the CANDLE. This is so goofy.’

‘I’m deeply offended at the lid Dior. That’s freaking wild,’ another confessed.
