Inside First Dates waitress Laura Tott’s lavish Devon wedding from pints of beer to stunning gown
First Dates star Laura Tott is now officially a married woman after tying the knot to her long term partner in a glamorous ceremony over the weekend.
The reality star who is best known for her role as a waitress on the hit Channel 4 dating show, swapped her life on screen to become a paramedic, and has now started a new chapter in her life as she said “I do” to her lucky husband at the luxury Tunnels Beaches resort on Sunday.
Sharing a selection of stunning photos online, the blushing bride gave fans and friends a behind the scenes look at her special day, including a glimpse of her jaw dropping wedding dress.
The elaborate gown featured a sheer lace embellished bodice and spaghetti straps while a chapel length train and gorgeous A-line silhouette completed the look.
Accessorising the luxury gown with a sheer veil, the star wore her golden hair in an intricate updo style, with several strands left to fall free and frame her face.
The couple, who have chosen to keep her husband’s identity away from the limelight, posed together in a sweet shot, surrounded by garlands of roses as they wrapped their way around a wooden gazebo at the picturesque resort.
In the snap, Laura and her new husband could be seen sharing an intimate moment together as they enjoyed their first kiss beneath the beautifully stylised flower arch.
The newlyweds were also later seen sharing a dance together as the celebration got into full swing after the ceremony.
Treated to a wild evening of partying, guests attending the soiree had everything from free flowing booze through to a toe tapping DJ to keep them entertained as they celebrated the union of the happy couple.
According to one guest, the party featured a Radio One DJ, alongside a Michael Jackson tribute act and even an “amazing” Irish band, as elated guests got stuck into the party spirit.
Dancing the night away, guests appeared to be in high spirits, as did Laura herself, as she posed alongside guests with a pint of beer in hand.
One day after the lavish ceremony, the couple returned to normality with a far more down to earth cake cutting at Wetherspoons.
In a tongue in cheek snap shared online, the post was captioned: “Keeping it classy, cutting the cake a day late in Wetherspoons.”
To which Laura herself responded: “When you were too drunk on the day so have to cut the cake in the Wethers day after.”
The couple first went public with their engagement last June, as Laura opened up about her plans for a hen do.
Announcing the news at the time, the First dates waitress wrote: "Well I better get planning that hen do.
"Always keep my relationship off social media and I love that it’s just for me, but wanted to share this with you all cos I’m absolutely over the moon.
"Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine.”
Fan favourite Laura, first joined First Dates during its first season, however she was sadly dropped from the show in 2021 after the production moved to a new restaurant, The Refinery in Manchester.
Sharing the news at the time, the star wrote: "As you can see, I do not appear in this series of First Dates.
"They have moved up north to a new restaurant and wanted to freshen up the team for this series with some new local faces among the old faces, so I will not be featuring in this new series of First Dates unfortunately."
Laura also went on to admit she wasn’t sure how she would be able to juggle the demands of filming anyway, thanks to her new career choice. She added: ”To be honest, I don't actually know how I would have fit filming in this year with working during the pandemic.
"I've needed every day off to chill out so it's actually been a welcomed break. I've missed the whole team though, that's for sure."
However in a poignant nod to the future, she concluded the post by adding: "This doesn't mean it's over and I'm still very much part of the First Dates family and hopefully I'll be back again real soon."
