OVER Bank Holiday weekends there may be disruptions to post deliveries.
Deliveries usually don't happen on Bank Holidays or local holidays, read on to find out more.
The May Bank Holiday may affect some things such as shops closing slightly earlier and your deliveries may also be delayed.

Is there post over the May Bank Holiday?
Royal Mail says that it delivers on most days of the year, including Saturdays.
But they do not deliver or collect on public holidays.

Are banks open over the Spring Bank Holiday?
That includes any Bank Holidays throughout the year.
You can still post a letter at any one of their 100,000 post boxes across the country.
But you won't be able to go into a Post Office on a Bank Holiday as these are usually closed.
If you need to send a larger package or need other services from the Post Office, you'll need to do this before or after the Bank Holiday.

What other Bank Holidays are there?
May 2023 will treat Brits to three Bank Holidays.
The May Bank Holidays are:
- Early May Bank Holiday – May 1, 2023
- King Charles' Coronation – May 8, 2023
- Spring Bank Holiday – May 29, 2023
It is best to check your local Post Office opening times over the spring Bank Holiday as times will vary from branch to branch.
Royal Mail says on its website that the following dates in England and Wales will also be affected.
There are no collections or deliveries on the:
- Coronation Bank Holiday – Monday, May 8
- Spring Bank Holiday – Monday, May 29
- Summer Bank Holiday – Monday, August 28
- Christmas Day – Monday, December 25
- Boxing Day – Tuesday, December 26
