Jessica Simpson’s “teenage fantasy” came to life when she began hooking up with a “massive movie star” — only to find out he was taken.
The singer detailed her “sexy,” yet “demeaning” connection with the unnamed actor in “Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single,” a “short and true story” published on Wednesday.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” alum, 42, was on a break from Nick Lachey when the “hot” mystery A-lister “eyed [her] up and down” at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
“He was undressing me with his eyes,” Simpson told readers.
Although the “Blonde Ambition” star got the man’s number, she ultimately reconciled with Lachey, 49, and did not call.
However, the “Newlyweds” alums divorced in 2006, and Simpson subsequently shared a kiss with the un-named movie star at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The smooch gave her a “warm rush all the way down [her] body.”
The mystery man told Simpson at the time that his relationship with his girlfriend was “completely over.”
She recalled meeting him at a hotel via the building’s private entrance and walking up fire stairs to reach his room, which she later realized was meant to “hide [her] from his chick.”
Simpson ended things, writing, “I didn’t care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life, this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of.”
The fling was not mentioned in Simpson’s “Open Book” memoir, which came out in February 2020 and is currently being adapted into a scripted series.
Simpson’s book did, however, cover her other high-profile romances with singer John Mayer, stuntman Johnny Knoxville, athlete Tony Romo and more stars.
The actress has been married to NFL player Eric Johnson since 2014. The couple share daughters Maxwell, 10, and Birdie, 3, as well as son Ace, 9.
