Julia Fox is always a step ahead of the trend.
And on the heels of the Hollywood-loved platform Ugg boot craze, the “Uncut Gems” star stepped out wearing a different elevated style from the brand — the new Aww Yeah Platform Slide ($120) — at Milan Fashion Week on Sunday.
And while we’re not expecting Fox’s condom-covered purse or all-belt outfit to take off with shoppers, her latest shoe choice has us buckling up for the next big footwear craze.
Featuring a 1.5-inch heel and a removable logo strap, the cushy, contoured footbed design is a raised version of the brand’s Sport Yeah Slide ($60).
Fox isn’t the only star trying out the foam fashion statement, as fellow style risk-taker Rita Ora also sported a pair earlier this month.
Unlike Fox, Ora opted to style hers sans socks as she strolled Los Angeles in jeans and an ab-baring top.
Ugg’s designs have long captivated famous folks, as the brand’s slippers – including the colorful Fluff Yeah (from $50) and classic Coquette ($120) — have a place in countless celebrities’ closets.
But while the label’s signature sheepskin styles have been ubiquitous since the early aughts, it’s the Ugg Mini Platform that most recently experienced a meteoric rise — and earned the approval of A-listers everywhere.
Kylie Jenner wore hers throughout a recent trip to Aspen, while supermodels like Elsa Hosk and Bella and Gigi Hadid first kicked off the trend back in September.
While the platform styles often sell out, certain sizes and colors of the Ugg Classic Mini Platform Boots (from $160) are still up for grabs across the internet.
As for whether the brand’s new foam footwear will follow in the boots’ fluffy footsteps? Only time will tell.
