Kates normal life being overshadowed by awareness shell be the next Queen, says expert
Kate Middleton ’s ability to live a “normal” life away from her role as a senior member of the royal family will be “overshadowed” by the knowledge that she will one day be Queen, a royal expert has said.
Following the tragic death of Queen Elizabeth II back in September, 40 year old Kate and her husband Prince William have stepped up in their royals andwere made the Prince and Princess of Wales by King Charles.
And whileKate may be embracing her new role as she attends engagements across the world, the mum-of-three’s new title means that she will be less likely to do other things that many of us take for granted, an expert has claimed.
“Ever since marrying into the family she’s had an accelerated pathway,” Sean Coughlan, BBC News Royal Correspondent told OK!.
“Her role has now transformed again, and though she’s still trying to have a normal life and do the school run and those sorts of things, normality is increasingly being overshadowed by an awareness that she’ll be the next Queen.
“It can’t be easy to be so visible and yet able to say so little. But Kate has done it very well and people seem to really warm to her.”
He also added that royal fans could expect to see bothWilliam and Kate really step into their new roles over coming months as they begin to develop as the Prince and Princess of Wales.
“Their prominent position means there will be foreign trips to arrange, and they’ll also be thinking about what they want to stand for as Prince and Princess of Wales,” he explained.
“I’m sure we’re going to see them both stamp their own personality on their roles in the next few months. It’ll be very interesting to watch how they grow and develop.”
But besides Kate adjusting to her future, William will also be starting to comprehend what’s in store for him as future monarch, the experts added.
“The seriousness of his role must have hit William,” said Sean. “William went from being a rather distant second in line to much more direct next in line.
“Hopefully it will be many years off yet, but he must be thinking about what kind of King he’ll want to be. I imagine that’s quite a burden.”
And while the couple were once known as the‘Fab Four’ alongsidePrince Harry andMeghan Markle, the latter’s move stateside means that William and Kate will be forming a new partnership with King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla.
“When the Queen’s health began failing and she was unable to carry out her duties, it was very noticeable that Charles, Camilla, William and Kate started deputising for her at events,” Sean continued.
“As a foursome, they became a unit at the core of the monarchy, as well as its public face. I think we’ll see much more of that now.”
