Kit Kat is launching a new item – and breakfast fans will love it | The Sun
KITKAT is launching a new item perfect for breakfast fans.
The product is the KitKat Cereal, and it will be hitting UK supermarkets from next month.
The KitKat Cereal, made by Nestle, will include chocolate and wafer cereal squares.
It's said to “maintain the essence” of the popular chocolate and includes 7.4g of sugar per 30g serving – or 8% of an adult’s recommended daily intake.
The Sun has asked Nestle which supermarkets will sell the product and exactly when it will hit shelves next month, and we'll update when we know more.
We've also asked how much a box will cost.

Terry’s Chocolate Orange fans are going wild for new summer treat
Chocolate fans are only just realising the hidden symbol in Toblerone logo
Sarah Fordy, head of marketing at Cereal Partners UK and Ireland, which makes Nestle cereal, said: “This exciting new cereal delivers a delicious taste of KitKat and has been developed to cater to consumers who are looking for an occasional, indulgent breakfast option, that can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.”
It follows from a hit to Nestle's profits last month, when inflation caused net sales to fall by 45% as it hiked the price of products.
Nestle also owns Aero, M&M, Smarties, Quality Street and Milkybar to name a few.
But elsewhere, it's not the only choc company releasing new treats.

Terry's fans are going wild for a new chocolate orange ice cream flavour hitting shelves at Iceland this month.
The flavour comes in the form of a tub alongside a box of four ice cream sticks, but Terry's is yet to confirm the prices.
You can find your nearest Iceland store by heading to the supermarket's website and searching "store locator".
And you have a choice of new cereals to try too – there are now pink Coco Pops on shelves at your local supermarket that taste of strawberry and white chocolate, for example.
A box costs around £2.99 for 480g, but shops are allowed to set their own prices so you may end up paying slightly more or less.
But if you want to try them, be quick – they'll only be around for 12 months.
One box contains 30% less sugar than other chocolate cereals and have no artificial colours or flavourings.
In 2019, Nestle-owned Shreddies released coconut-flavoured cereal which sold exclusively at Home Bargains.
It cost £2.09 per box, but may not have been everyone's cup of tea.
As for right now, Fanta just launched an interesting new watermelon flavour.
The product comes in 500ml and 2litre bottles and as an 8x330ml can multi-pack.
