Meghan Markle added some glitz to a statement look with a pair of very expensive designer trousers during a surprise appearance at a Spotify event.

The stylish royal, who hosts her own podcast, Archetypes, for Spotify, donned a stylish £1,100 pair of crepe trousers from Maison Valentino during a visit at the music streaming service’s HQ in Los Angeles last night.

The mother-of-two, 41, paired it with a black t-shirt reading: ‘Women, Life, Freedom,’ in Farsi, which she bought from Etsy for £30, in a show of support for the Iranian protestors fighting hijab rules.

The royal is known for her love of glamorous jewellery and expensive designer items.

The words of support from the Duchess come as women across Iran have been protesting gendered oppression following the death of Mahsa Amini.

The 22-year-old died in police custody after being arrested for allegedly violating the Muslim nation’s strict morality laws which requires women to cover their hair.

Meghan Markle, 41, made a statement with a simple yet telling look yesterday as she made an appearance at private event at Spotify’s HQs in Los Angeles last night

Meghan kept the look simple for her stint at Spotify, and sported very little makeup, apart from her usual trait of eyeliner and mascara, a dash of bronzer and a glossy lip.

Her brown locks where styled in a bouncy blow-dry that cascaded down her shoulders.

The mother-of-two was also wearing a discreet pair of dropped earrings and bracelets for the event.

It marks the second time the Duchess has worn a statement slogan tee.

Meghan brought along two executive members of her organization Archewell – executive vice president of global communications Ashley Hansen, and president Mandana Dayani, right, both of whom are Iranian women

Last year, Meghan sported a casual £27 black and white T-shirt by British designer Mere Soeur during an appearance on the trailer for Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey’s new Apple TV mental health series.

The hipster brand specialises in clothing for mothers – aka ‘mama merch’ – and is ‘dedicated to celebrating sisterhood and empowering mums’.

Her t-shirt sported the words, ‘Raising the future.’

Meghan brought along two executive members of her organization Archewell – executive vice president of global communications Ashley Hansen, and president Mandana Dayani, both of whom are Iranian women.

Meghan was invited to appear at the private Spotify event Tuesday, according to Hello!, and spoke of the ‘courage’ for the Iranian protesters.

Dayani elaborated on Markle’s comments, and said it was a ‘proud day’ at Archewell for her and Hansen while sharing a photo of the three of them together at the event.

‘Meghan spoke about the revolution being led by women and young girls in Iran,’ Dayani wrote in an Instagram post.

‘The courage and bravery they show every day, and their leadership and advocacy of basic human rights: women, life, freedom.

‘As an Iranian woman who fled her home country in pursuit of these very freedoms, I could not have been more grateful for how she chooses, again and again, to advocate for women around the world,’ she added.

The t-shirt Meghan wore is available to buy on Etsy for £30 and read: ‘Women, Life, Freedom’ in Farsi, pictured

Mandana Dayani, an Iranian woman, shared more details of the event on her Instagram account, and said she was grateful

Author of the Megan Markle biography Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie, tweeted out the photo of the three of them and praised Megan for her message.

‘Meghan stands in solidarity with women and girls in Iran,’ Scobie wrote.

Markle’s support for Iranian women was only the most recent of many times she has expressed support for women’s issues.

Earlier this summer she spoke out against the overturning of Roe V. Wade.

‘Men need to be vocal in this moment and beyond because these are decisions that affect relationships, families, and communities at large,’ she said in a June interview with Vogue, ‘They may target women, but the consequences impact all of us.

‘My husband and I talked about that a lot over the past few days. He’s a feminist too,’ she added.

In previous years she has continually spoken about the importance of girls’ and women’s education across the globe, and women’s rights to vote.

And in a 2017 issue of Time magazine, she published an impassioned piece about fighting the stigma of menstruation in the developing world.
