Mind-boggling optical illusion tricks your brain when you stare at centre

Optical illusions can be extremely mind-boggling at times.

The latest brainteaser to baffle the internet was created by Jackpotjoy to trick your brain.

In the illusion, it shows a completely still image but something happens when you glare at it for too long.

You could be scratching your head for ages when you stare at the centre of the picture.

So can you understand what's going on?

The shadowy, faded edges of the hole make it appear as if the black colour is spreading out as if you're in a tunnel.

Scientists say the illusion can also cause your pupils to dilate when you're tricked by the image.

It is normally a response to darker surroundings so your eyes are made to believe you're entering a black hole.

Just one in 10 aren't fooled as they say the image doesn't move for them at all.
