M&S shoppers bombard shops love sausage post with very cheeky responses

Valentine's Day can mean only one thing – Marks & Spencer has brought back its cheekily-named 'love sausage'.

The supermarket has been offering the banger for the last few years now.

And every time they're in stock, shoppers can't help giggle over the foodie treat.

If you're wondering what it is, it's basically a big sausage wrapped in bacon shaped into a love-heart.

Writing about the porky delight on its Instagram this week, M&S wrote: "IT’S BACK. Yep, that’s right – is it even Valentine’s Day without a love sausage We’ll leave that up to you…

"Made with 100% British pork and wrapped in smoked bacon, this heart-shaped treat makes for the ultimate Valentine’s breakfast."

One person joked: "If I go into M&S and ask for a love sausage are they going to have me promptly removed or lead the way, that's the question."

M&S replied: "I'm confident they'll lead you to our delicious heart-shaped sausage wrapped in bacon."

Another person quipped: "Are they available in a range of sizes?"

While a third joked: "This makes me giggle every time. The person behind this needs a raise lol."

"It looks wrong to me," confessed another shopper, while a fifth declared: "You can’t beat a bit of love sausage."

"That looks really obscene," added another person, while a further said: "I am quite partial to a love sausage."

"Every year you do this, and every year I laugh and cringe in equal measure," concluded another shopper.

The love sausage was priced at £6 on Ocado – but is currently available at the bargain price of £4.80.

So don't be a wiener and miss out, get the love sausage to share with your other half or just devour it yourself.
