My partner treats me like a child, telling me what time to go to bed | The Sun
DEAR DEIDRE: MY partner treats me like a child, telling me what time to go to bed and to brush my teeth. I’ve had enough.
I am 55 and my partner is 57. We’ve been together for three years and live together.
He’s very negative and disagrees with everything I say.
He criticises my dress sense, the way I style my hair and my make-up.
He never seems to be interested in anything I have to say but wants me to pay attention to everything he talks about.
He sometimes walks away into another room when I am talking to him about something.

It is very offputting. I feel it’s ignorant and dismissive.
I am beginning to give up on this relationship.
