Priyanka Chopra’s $25 Million MET Gala Necklace To Be Auctioned Off

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were arguably one of the best dressed couples at the 2023 MET Gala, and their looks may have been some of the most expensive thanks to Priyanka’s main accessory.

The parents-of-one showed up to the iconic event in coordinated black and white looks. Priyank wore a strapless, black Valentino dress with a high slit, while her husband looked sharp in a black leather coat with a white button down and black tie.

But the real showstopper was Priyanka’s diamond necklace. Designed by Bulgari and known as the Luna Blue Diamond, the piece is reportedly worth $25 million USD.

The necklace was designed as tribute to Bulgari’s hometown of Rome. Its chain is inspired by the bay laurel wreaths formerly worn by Roman emperors, with each diamond cut into leaf shapes and set in gold. The piece features the famous Laguna diamond in the center, which Bulgari first acquired in 1970 and transformed into a ring.

Unfortunately, Priyanka won’t get to keep the piece following the MET Gala. It’s reportedly going to be auctioned off the highest bidder.

The Bollywood star wasn’t the only celebrity to show up to the MET with an impressive assortment of accessories. One of the most dazzling (and expensive) looks of the night belonged to Dua Lipa, who showed up in a vintage Chanel wedding dress from the designer’s 1992 collection.

Perhaps even more impressive, though, was Dua’s necklace. She paired the tweed ballgown with Tiffany & Co’s Lucida Star necklace, which featured over 100 carats of diamonds and is valued at $10 million.

Dua is reportedly the first person to wear the piece in public. The neckalce was influenced by the Tiffany Diamond, which is one of the largest yellow diamonds ever recovered.

Additionally, the singer paired her look with a series of Tiffany & Co. platinum rings with more than 9 carats of diamonds.

Another celebrity with a stunning assortment of jewelry at the 2023 MET Gala was Gigi Hadid, who made headline for showing up in more than 74-carats of lab-grown diamonds crafted in an haute joaillerie necklace. The supermodel also added a pair of diamond rings from the brand as well as a pearl necklace from Lagos.

The theme for this year’s MET Gala was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” a tribute to the late creative director of Chanel who passed away in 2019. We’d say these celebrities definitely nailed the theme!
