‘We’re going to do the burrito method. Grab the base, and just roll it up. Then you’re going to press down on the towel with your knees to really wring out the moisture,’ she said.
Once you’ve ‘wrung’ out some of the excess water in this way the garment can be hung on a drying rack in your living room.
‘It will dry in a couple of hours now instead of overnight,’ she said.
‘I was doing this, but with a hand towel. A beach towel makes so much more sense!’ One of her followers said.
Another option is to use your hairdryer to remove the excess moisture.
Simply lay the garment down and begin drying on a high heat. Depending on the material of the clothing item it will only take a few minutes to fully dry.
‘It’s a great method to try if you’re travelling and you’ve handwashed something, or if you don’t have a dryer at home, or your dryer’s broken,’ she added.
Towels can also be added to your regular dryer load to speed up the drying time from an hour to just 20 minutes, with the dry towel soaking up moisture while it spins.
