Afterwards, he was briefly absent from the show, but he’s set to return today after he reportedly participated in a ‘formal training.’
According to a memo sent to staffers on Monday from CNN’s Chairman Chris Licht, he said: ‘I sat down with Don and had a frank and meaningful conversation.
‘He has agreed to participate in formal training, as well as continuing to listen and learn. We take this situation very seriously.
‘It is important to me that CNN balances accountability with a fostering a culture in which people can own, learn and grow from their mistakes. To that end, Don will return to CNN This Morning on Wednesday.’

The weatherman tore into Lochte – who originally claimed that he and three other American swimmers had been burglarized by armed men with police badges while in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
But Lochte later admitted on the Today show that he ‘over-exaggerated’ the events – something that clearly upset Roker.
‘He lied. He lied to you, he lied to Matt Lauer, he lied to his mom. He left his teammates hanging while he skedaddled,’ Roker said to Bush.
Bush begged Roker to ‘calm down,’ but that just angered him more. The pair finally agreed to disagree on the matter, before moving on
