Shoppers liken bargain 99p body spray to Marc Jacobs £70 Daisy perfume
There’s nothing better than finding a perfume you love, but often the price tag stops you from wearing it every day. Maybe you just want to save it for best, or try to use it sparingly to prolong the moment when you have to splash out on another bottle.
Luckily, a range of bargain body sprays has released a series of scents that smell similar to designer perfumes, and they cost less than £1.
The line of sprays comes from Designer Fragrances, which offer handbag-sizes body sprays with scents reminiscent of some of your favourite designer perfumes, and cost just 99p.
Although not available online, you can find the body sprays at several local stores and supermarkets, including Co-op, The Range, B&M, Home Bargains, Euro Garages, Asda and Sainsburys.
The line includes 12 different scents, with some of the most popular including Xalien, Black Poppy, and Daisee thanks to their similarity between them and some of the best selling luxury fragrances.
One bargain hunter in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group spotted the sprays at their local Home Bargains, and shared a snap of the Daisee body spray, which comes in a yellow can, in the group, writing: “Home Bargains body spray. Smells very similar to Marc Jacobs Daisy.”
Marc Jacobs Daisy, £70 here, has top notes of wild berries and white violets, heart notes of jasmine, and base notes of sandalwood, for a sweet, fresh and floral perfume that’s proven to be a big hit over the years.
Some of the other popular body spray scents include Xalien, which as you may have guessed, is a dupe for Thierry Mugler Alien, £55 here, another popular perfume that’s known for its floral and woody aroma thanks to the combination of warm cashmeran wood and white amber with jasmine sambac..
Finally the Black Poppy is a fantastic affordable dupe for the luxurious Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium, £52 here, which has proved to be another big seller in the luxury perfume world.
The powerful and feminine fragrance combines light and dark scents, such as pear accord and mandarin essence, and dark, roasted notes of black coffee and cedarwood. It also includes vanilla, which is paired with the softness of white flowers and orange blossom, set against a base of patchouli and white must for a heady and sweet perfume.
The rest of the Designer Fragrances body spray range inclues nine other scents, each with a familiar and luxurious smell to them, so make sure you get your hands on them next time you head to your local supermarket.
