The Olympic athlete married Jonathon Owens in a small courthouse ceremony last week, and fans had some serious opinions about her wedding-day look.
The bride, 26, wore her hair pulled back into a ponytail for the intimate nuptials, though some on Twitter called her out for her hairline not being perfectly slicked back.
One called her hair “a mess,” while another wrote that her “edges should have been laid,” adding, “It is her wedding day. This ain’t regular hair day.”
Biles hit back at the trolls Sunday, responding to a supportive fan by addressing the criticism.
She wrote, “i think [haters] also forget i live in HOUSTON TEXAS & I sweat those out!! soon as we stepped outside for pics.”
Added Biles, “but they can keep complaining idc idc idc.”
“Simone Biles is one of THEE top gymnasts we’ve ever seen, has overcame situations of abuse and other obstacles in her childhood, has defined her own success and found love and is now happily married…,” the defender wrote. “And y’all worried about her hair…..?!”
Clearly the gymnast wasn’t too concerned about making a big splash on her big day, choosing to marry Owens in a private ceremony at a Houston courthouse.
She even went with a budget dress and shoes for her big day, telling fans that “everything was ordered this week.”

There’s more to come from Biles’ wedding wardrobe; the star promised fans the courthouse wedding was a legal formality before the two say “I do” again at an international location.
She also divulged that in addition to selecting two wedding dresses from famed designer Galia Lahav, she’ll wear a total of four outfits during her destination celebration.
With her budget bridal look already making waves, we can’t wait to see what the new Mrs. Owens wears for her nuptials abroad.
