Tesco accused of racism as only darkest make-up shades locked in security boxes
Tesco has been accused of racism after one shopper discovered darker shades of make-up had been placed in security boxes.
On the other hand, the lighter shades weren't guarded at all.
The shopper noticed the security tags while shopping in-store and has now accused the supermarket giant of "racism" and "prejudice".

Posting online she told how only certain shades of Garnier BB cream were locked away to prevent them from being stolen.
Sharing a clip of the contrasting packaging to TikTok, the woman wrote: "Call it what you like but I call it prejudice with a dash of racism. What do you guys think over at @tesco?
"As if the Clubcard segregation wasn't enough. This made me feel so sick."
According to MyLondon, users were horrified and demanded that Tesco explain the reasoning behind this.
One user said the decision was "unbelievable", while another commented: "Umm Tesco explain quickly."
Some other users suggested the decisions over which products are given extra security are determined by theft statistics.
One user said: "It's just boxed if it's a more stolen item, facts are facts."

Another commented: "As someone who did work in Tesco, I went around tagging stuff. The computer prints a list of items that have been stolen more frequently. Not people."
A third similarly said: "It's because they look at their stock see the ones getting robbed and [then] put protection over it."
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We are deeply sorry that this has happened, and these products should clearly not have been security tagged in this way.
“We work hard to ensure Tesco is a place where everyone feels welcome, and we are urgently investigating this to ensure the tags are removed in this store.
“In addition, we have reiterated the importance of using security tags appropriately in all our stores.”
