The skincare products behind Molly-Mae’s new mum glow – including £10 cleanser
Most new mums look back on their pre-baby make-up routines with fond (but distant) memories. Between snatched hours of sleep, feeding and changing, there isn’t much time left to sit down and apply make-up – nor, do we imagine, is there any spare energy for this sort of task.
This is also a situation we assume Molly-Mae Hague is finding herself in this week. The 23 year old gave birth to her daughter Bambi at the end of January, and seems to be acclimatising perfectly to her new role as a mum. However, gone are Molly-Mae’s usual glam beauty looks, and in their place is a glowing, make-up free base.
The star’s followers have been heaping praise on her new Instagram snaps, with comments ranging from “you’re glowing” to “I wish my skin looked like that” – and we can fully understand the interest in Molly-Mae’s skin. With no redness or blemishes, her complexion looks healthy, bouncy and glowy – not things you’d usually expect from someone who’s getting little sleep.
So what skincare does Molly-Mae use? We’ve done some digging to find out all of the products that the former Love Island star swears by. The list ranges from pricey La Mer treats to a much more affordable CeraVe cleanser, so get ready to hit “add to cart” on some of the new mum’s glow-boosting favourites…
La Mer Crème de la Mer Moisturising Cream, from £78 here
Molly-Mae keeps a pot of this expensive and deeply nourishing face cream in her beauty bag, but she was also treated to a “top-up” of her La Mer body care favourites last week by her boyfriend Tommy Fury. The bundle set the boxer back £375, and clearly came at the right time as Molly-Mae captioned the snap “I haven’t had much time for self care”.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, £35.20 here
When it comes to cleansing, the star uses this balm to melt away her make-up and give her skin a soft, glowy finish. It’s a product she’s raved about in the past, claiming in a previous YouTube video that it’s the reason she stopped removing her make-up with wipes.
Clinique Moisture Surge 100 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, £39 here
To keep her skin hydrated, the former Islander reaches for this gel-cream moisturiser. Formulated with aloe vera and hyaluronic acid, it’s perfect for those with dry or dehydrated skin.
Laneige Vanilla Lip Sleeping Mask, £19 here
Molly-Mae isn’t alone in her love for this product as it’s previously scored viral fame thanks to TikTok. The lip mask is designed to melt away dead skin cells overnight, creating a smoother, firmer, flake-free pout while you sleep.
CeraVe Blemish Control Face Cleanser, £10.50 here
A month or so before giving birth, the 23 year old went into full nesting mode by organising her expansive beauty drawers. She documented the process on her Instagram Stories, sharing a look at some of her go-to products. Included in her skincare collection is this affordable cleanser from CeraVe, which combines 2% salicylic acid with skin-smoothing niacinamide.
OleHenriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum, £58 here
Also included in her skincare drawers is this serious glow-booster from OleHenriksen. Anyone who suffers from lacklustre skin will benefit from adding a vitamin C product into their routine, and this serum is the perfect one for those, like Molly-Mae, who might be missing out on some quality sleep.
Filter By Molly-Mae Self Tanning Drops, £24.99 here
Along with using a vitamin C formula, a great trick to make yourself look more healthy and awake is to mix a couple of drops of self tanner into your night cream. These are from Molly-Mae’s own self-tanning range, and we think we can all agree that they seem to be working beautifully for her.
