Wetherspoons fan travels across UK to order same drink in 900 of chain’s pubs
A Wetherspoons superfan has visited 900 of the chain's pubs, and every time he places the same drink order.
John Hunt spent the last seven years crossing every public house he can off of his list.
Two weeks ago, the 83-year-old crossed his 900th tavern off the list after a stop at the Kingswinford, near Birmingham.

Retired dock worker john even set out on a 700-mile journey from his home in Southampton all the way to Wick in Scotland for a pint of ale.
John, or Chester as his friends call him, travels by bus, train or taxi to visit the pubs to order his meal and an Abbots ale.
While the grandad crossed 900 off his list, data from 2021 claims there are currently only 861 Wetherspoons open in the UK.
So John has visited pubs which have since shut down or changed hands over the last seven years.
Despite visiting so many of the unique venues, John has a clear favourite, the Opera House in Tunbridge Wells.
But he added that he was also a fan of The Palladium in Llandudno, Wales.

According to The Sun, John said: "I live on my own, you see and that was it, I ain’t gonna sit indoors watching telly, it’s no good for me."
Despite his mega list, the pensioner still has more pubs to cross off his list – four in Wales, six in Scotland, and four in Cornwall.
He added: "Some of them have closed down and some of them are opening new ones up, that’s what gets me.
"I think I did them all in Birmingham until someone came up to me and said 'have you done that one in Kings Norton yet?'

"I said 'there was not one there' and they said 'there is'. So I’ve got to go up there now."
He once visited nine pubs in a day in Bournemouth, admitting he was jolly as he left the last venue.
John joked: "If you’ve had a pint in every one of them you’ve had a good day."
