What Love Island stars got in their GCSEs from genius Liberty to very clever Millie

Love Islanders have often ditched post-secondary education for a career in reality TV and the world of social media.

Piers Morgan once cruelly called cast members of the reality show the "most stupid people in the world", which was met with backlash from contestants who have gone on to achieve big things.

There have been the fair share of questionable comments, hilarious raps, awkward talent shows and the typical "my type of paper" quotes.

However, a lot of islanders have more than just their wits about them. In fact, a lot of them have gone above and beyond in their school days.

On GCSE results day, we take a look at the educational results islanders have received…

Millie Court

Millie, winner of last year's series boasts a list of 8 GCSE's including an A in maths and B in textiles.

Having triumphed her A-Levels, Millie then went on to study Fashion Buying and Brand Management at Ravensbourne University in London – her syllabus included trend forecasting, visual merchandising, branding and promotion.

"It’s official graduating with a 2:1 in Fashion Buying and Brand Management. Who said blondes were dumb," Millie wrote when upon her graduation from university.

Liberty Poole

Having stolen the hearts of the nation with the strength to leave the villa for the benefit of her state of mind, it's no surprise Liberty is a smart one and did rather well at school.

Before setting foot in the villa, Liberty said: "Lads look at me and they think I'm this blonde but there's a lot more to me. Not a lot of people know this about me but I got nine As and an A* at school."

On her LinkedIn, she wrote: "After leaving secondary school with 9As, A* and a B. So many people convinced me I should be a doctor.

"But after taking Chemistry and Biology as an A-level I started to lose enjoyment for those subjects. That's when I started to explore other options and considered business and then marketing."

With a desire to combine marketing experience with her passion for fashion, the 23 year old hopes to return to studying Marketing at Birmingham City University and is "aiming for a First".

Molly-Mae Hague

The richest islander to have ever left the villa, Molly-Mae unquestionably has intelligence.

Despite those comments, the islander did very well in her GCSEs, receiving an A in English and an A* in Sociology.

Rather than pursue a path leading to university, Molly ditched college to launch her online career with her YouTube fashion and beauty channel.

Things worked out pretty well for her. Molly is estimated to be worth over £4m, and is now the creative director of Pretty Little Thing.

Chris Hughes

The west country boy netted 14 GCSEs, including three A*s and eight As, and even at a legal firm before entering jetting to Majorca on ITV2's dating show.

During on argument on Twitter, Chris said: "I've got 14 GCSE's, a Uni Degree and morals. I ain't sent s***, hence why all you'll haven't seen s***. Worry about yourself man."

Tommy Fury

Boxer Tommy left school in year nine – without any exam results.

What Tommy did leave school with is a charming personality, earning him a second place finish with partner Molly.

After leaving school he went on to discover his boxing potential and is following in the footsteps of older brother Tyson Fury.

Kem Cetinay

Another islander that left school in year nine was Chris Hughes' best pal, Kem. The pair had the biggest bromance we've seen on the dating show to date.

Kem had a tremendously difficult time at school, dropping out when he was 13 due to suffering with extreme anxiety issue.

The reality star previously said: "Anxiety can be a dark path if you don't handle it well," he told The Sunday Times Style magazine. "I've seen it first hand. I was taken out of school when I was 13, in year nine.

"People don't know I didn't finish school, that I was a different person to how I am now. I basically had therapy seven days a week for, like, three years."

Kem went on to win Love Island and has since become a TV personality and presents Love Island's official podcast.

Camilla Thurlow

Camilla is widely regarded as the most intelligent islanders to have entered the villa.

Having become a fan favourite her relationship blossomed with partner Jamie Hewitt and the couple have now welcomed a baby into the world.

The brainy Islander went on to get straight As at A-Level and a First class honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science – no surprise there!

Scott Thomas

Scott's results were repeatedly mentioned during his time in the villa in series two.

The Thomas brother earned himself four A*s and five As in his GCSEs.

The Love Island star currently works in PR and is the owner of his own PR Agency, The Social PR.
