Woman exposes how influencers fake ‘flawless’ bikini pics using posing hacks
A woman is on a mission to show that photos you see on social media aren’t as “flawless” as they seem.
Danae Mercer often shows the reality behind influencer snaps, which are often a lot less glamorous than they look.
And for her latest exposé, she took swipe at home bikini snaps.

The 34-year-old, from California, US, snapped pictures in the same pink swimwear to show how easy it is to manipulate your appearance.
In some of the images, she arched her back, covered her wobbly bits and struck a pose.
Meanwhile, other photos show her relaxed body in all its glory.
Danae captioned the post: "How influencers take those ‘causal at home bikini pics’ – ooor my gosh your back will hurt after trying this.
"Before I get into the technique I just want to stress that THIGHS? They smoosh.
"And SKIN? It folds. Dimples. Rolls.
"And BOOOTEHS? They jiggle. Wiggle. Go soft when we sit.
"So don’t be hard on yourself. And remember socials aren’t entirely real.
"Now for how I did this?"
Danae continued: "POSE ONE: the big thing to remember here is influencers almost never actually rest their peaches on stuff.
"This keeps the peach looking perky, and not all human smooshie.
"In this pose, I’m: super arching my back, HIDING MY THIGHS under my calves (like tucking the skin in so less cellulite) and lifting my body weight AWAY from the shoes.
"It’s kind of like a squat or quad activator.
"In pose two, I’m: crossing my top knee over my bottom leg, lifting my weight off the bottom thigh, angling my bumbum towards the camera and squeezing everything."
After showing how tricky posing can be, Danae urged her 2.4 million followers to stop comparing themselves to influencers they see online.
She added: "Neither pose is very comfy. But they photograph fiercely, and that’s ok too. Do you today.
"But above all else: be kind to yourself. Wobbles and stretchies and all."
The post garnered 16,400 likes and dozens of positive comments – with many thinking Danae for her honesty.
One responder gushed: "You are my inspiration! I love your confidence."
Another said: "Thank you. You make me feel so much more confident.
"When I’m measuring my hips or tummy for the so maniest time… You put it in the right perspective."
A third commented: "This message is so important for teenage girls that will believe all social media is true and they are inadequate."
And a fourth added: "Needed this today. Thank you for being real."
