Woman with boobs removed from cancer defies trolls by proudly going topless

A woman who both her double-D boobs removed to prevent breast cancer defies trolls by proudly flaunting her flat chest on social media.

Stephanie Germino, from Tampa, Florida, had a double mastectomy to avoid breast cancer as her family had a history of the disease.

The 29-year-old became a viral sensation after sharing a video of herself topless online and gaining over 22,000 followers from it overnight.

The mum wanted to raise awareness of genetic mutation, also known as the BRCA1 gene, which caused her grandmother to fight breast cancer.

Her mum was alsofound to be positive for the gene – making it 50/50 whether Stephanie was too.

But following the surgery, Stephanie chose not to have reconstruction surgery to avoid further complications and has embraced her flat-chested look instead.

Initially, the mum-of-one claims her surgeon warned she'd regret not having reconstruction surgery – but she has since dubbed herself the "boobless babe" instead.

She said: "I knew I didn't want to take the risk with breast cancer, so I wanted a mastectomy.

"It only took one conversation with my fiancé to think I'd look fabulous being flat because there are less risks than getting implants.

"My surgeon warned me I would regret my decision – but told them I wanted to be 'as flat as a pre-pubescent boy' and I don't regret it at all!"

The salon owner insists that she "wanted to be as flat as a pre-pubescent boy" – and has no regrets.

In the moments after the surgery on October 27, 2021, Stephanie claims she felt "confident and badass" when she saw how her flat chest looked.

The mum of six-year-old Josiah embraced her new body and started posing topless on social media to help "normalise" it.

However, she has since been hit with comments from trolls who tell her to "put a shirt on", meanwhile, others assume she's transgender.

"When people see my chest on TikTok, lots assume I am transitioning, which I'm not," she added.

"Others say they feel sorry for my partner or tell me no man will want me.

"The most original one is people telling me to 'put a shirt on' – I just say 'no thanks, I'd rather not'. People can say whatever they want though – I am confident in my decision so I don't care!"

The mum has amassed over 1.4million followers on TikTok – with some of her follows being behind the trolling she faces online.

"People tell me 'nobody wants to see this' but then I look and find that they're actually following my account, " she said.

"For anyone feeling insecure, comments, like I get, could put them in a really bad place.

"But for me – I am so confident in my decision and my flat chest, that I just don't care!"
