Writer brands Amanda Holden a bloody fool for enjoying sexist catcalls
A writer has hit out at Amanda Holden after the Britain's Got Talent judge said she 'enjoyed being cat-called'.
Emmie Harrison-West branded Amanda, 51, "a bloody fool" in an article for Metro, and said she has no time for "men's bulls**t".
Writing about the situation, the writer fumed: "Apparently Amanda Holden welcomes catcalls from builders.

"'I still want to get wolf whistles in my 70s, and I don’t care how sexist that is', she said to a woman’s magazine.
'I want a builder to give me a little oi, oi” when I walk past. I want to be tooted at by men or women when I’m walking the dog!'
"Well, Amanda, I think you’re a bloody fool. When are catcalls not sexist? All catcalls are sexist, just like all men need to be educated on rape culture."
Emmie claimed that any "unwelcome, unwarranted forms of interaction between a man and a woman", including wolf whistles and catcalls, are "sexual harassment and should be punished, rather than endorsed".
She claims that she's been wolf-whistled by builders from above, which made her feel like a "lap dog" and called "sexy" from the window of a moving van.
Emmie also said she's had them "purr" at her while on a run and then tell her she's a "miserable c**t" when she's ignored them.
"I’ve had others tell me to ‘lighten up’ when I’ve called them out in public. Calling me a bitch, and telling me that it’s ‘only a joke’. Some have followed me; getting close enough for me to feel their spit landing on my skin as they shout at me."
Emmie admits this has left her "terrified" to walk alone down her own street – whether it be day or night.
And she said to hear that Amanda Holden "welcomes such harassment from men" if "devastating" and "harmful".
She concluded: "Not only does this antiquated attitude set a disgusting example to young girls about their self-esteem and the behaviour they should welcome and value from men – it encourages young men to follow suit. To treat women with such disregard. To treat them as if they were mere pets to sit, pose and beg."
