Zara Tindall looked ready for another day of action at Royal Ascot today as she arrived at the Berkshire racecourse with her husband Mike. 

Zara, 42, was the picture of poise and relaxed elegance as she arrived ahead of a second day of horse racing in Berkshire. 

Today, Princess Anne’s daughter, an Olympic silver medal-winning equestrian, looked stunning in a dark eggplant dress from Laura Green, matched with a bespoke teal fascinator from Juliette Botterill, her blonde locks neatly pinned back into a low bun.

As the pair arrived, they were joined by other royals including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and King Charles and Queen Camilla. 

The pair shared a sweet moment as Mike was seen wiping something off his wife’s nose as their carriage toured the racecourse.  

It was laughs all around as Zara and Mike Tindall arrived in a carriage ahead of the race’s second day in Berkshire

The royal accessorised the elegant get up with Laurence Coste earrings and an Anya Hindmarch bag with Dune heels. 

Meanwhile, Mike looked dapper in a grey suit, paired with a blue tie and light blue shirt. 

The pair arrived in a carriage, sharing with horse trainer William Haggas and his wife Maureen. 

After her carriage ride, Zara was joined by the racecourse by her mother, the Princess Royal, who looked lovely in light blue and white. 

Zara’s attendance on the second day of the festival followed her show-stopping appearance on Tuesday, where she donned a £660 Cecilia pale green floral midi dress by Leo Lin for the occasion.

She matched the elegant outfit with a nude clutch bag and nude Sauvereign shoes adorned with gold gems and her initials on the bottom.

As the festivities continues for its second day in the baking summer sunshine, partying racegoers will no doubt be ready for another day of celebrations.

Keen racegoers brought glamour to Berkshire once more this morning as they arrived at the second day of Royal Ascot 2023. 

Stylish ladies were spotted walking into the racecourse ahead of another day of nail-biting races and plenty of partying.

Zara, who was sitting next to Maureen Haggas, looked relaxed in her elegant get up as Mike waved to royal fans 

The couple shared a hearty laughs as they arrived together at the racecourse in the royal procession 

Mike looked very dapper for his day at the races, and was sporting a flower on his lapel like other male attendees

The glamorous and colourful scenes at the beginning of day two come after hilarious antics captured last night as the opening day of the festival came to a close.

Among the scenes of revellers who were heading home after a day of partying were savvy women who had ditched their high heels in favour of sensible flat shoes to travel home in, as well as a gentleman who had picked up some snacks to tide him over for the evening.

In this year’s pamphlet, the newly-crowned King and Queen took the opportunity to write a special message to guests.

They wrote: ‘We are delighted to welcome you to Royal Ascot in this, the year of our Coronation. 

‘Five days oh highly competitive racing will again be watched and enjoyed by millions, both here and abroad.

‘We are happy in the knowledge that this historic race meeting continues to be a key influence on the global racing and breeding industries.

‘The Royal Meeting always played a central role in Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s calendar and the naming of the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes will be a most appropriate way to mark this lifelong interest. 

‘A photographic exhibition in the Grandstand will also celebrate The late Queen’s close association with Royal Ascot, including images of some of her twenty four winners. 

‘We are sure his exhibition will prompt many happy memories.

‘As improving sustainability is crucial to all events and businesses, we were pleased to hear that the Village Enclosure at Ascot will be net carbon zero this year and that the racecourse is making renewed efforts to minimalise waste.

‘Finally, we wish the very best of good fortune to all the owners, breeders, trainers, jockeys and hardworking stable staff with runners this week.

‘It is a huge and rare achievement to have a runner at Royal Ascot and we very much hope that you all enjoy the experience.’ 

This year, organisers of the race have paid tribute to Royal Ascot’s ‘biggest fan’, Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away last September.

During her 70-year reign, Her late Majesty attended almost every single Royal Ascot festival, with the exception of last year.

This year, organisers have displayed a heartwarming collection of photos of the Queen visiting Ascot over the years. 

They include a black-and-white photo of the royal riding on the tracks in 1960 when she was 34-years-old. 

The mother-of-four was pictured with a headscarf and riding boots on on as hwe horse galloped along the track.

The Queen was taking part in an unofficial race with others members of her royal party and ended up finishing fourth. 

What’s more, the organisers also selecting a photograph of the Queen beaming at Ladies Day in 2013. 

The event turned out to be one of the Queen’s most successful Ascots as her horse Estimate won the Gold Cup – making her the first monarch in 200 years to scoop the prize.

The late royal was pictured beaming at her trophy, which was presented to her by her son Prince Andrew. 

The Queen was dressed in one of her signature coat dresses in a pretty shade of purple. 

Underneath her jacket, the monarch wore a pretty floral dress – which perfectly complimented the flowers on her hat. 

In the image, the Queen is seen wearing a three-strand pearl necklace – which she also wore to her final ever Ascot in June 2021.
