A Place in the Sun fans slam grimmest property search with £80,000 budget

A Place in the Sun fans have dubbed the search for an £80,000 property search in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria as the 'grimmest ever' as the buyers struggled to find one they liked.

Mark and Peter's were on the lookout for a holiday home that they wanted to share with their families and cockapoo, Rosie and that was also close to LGBT-friendly areas, including a nudist beach.

However, the low budget seemed to cause problems for the pair as they didn't like any of the properties they were shown and the show ended with them not purchasing a property at all.

The couple was shown a number of properties, but whether there was just too much work needed going to them or there just wasn't enough space in them — none of the properties shown on Channel 4 managed to cut it for their dream holiday home.

The pair even declined a three-bedroom property, with a terrace, in their dream location that was just over £87,000, which was within their wiggle room for properties up to £100,000., as it had access issues.

Viewers were also less than impressed with their search as they dubbed it the 'grimmest ever' search for a property.

One user said: "Utterly grim this search. So different to yesterday."

Another wrote: "What's the plan… Save up a bit more money I would have thought."

A third said: "Pair of fuss pots, what do they want for their money!"

Last night (Aug 11), Tina and Greg appeared on tonight's episode (August 11) searching for a property in western Cyprus with a budget of £190,000 and the help of property expert and presenter Leah Charles-King.

The security staff members, who are retiring later this year, were looking for a three to four-bedroom home with some outdoor space, which they can make their new forever home with enough space for the family to visit.

However, viewers were a little distracted by Tina's braless display.
