A Place in the Sun guest pulls out of viewing after interrupting Jean Johannson

A Place in the Sun guest stopped viewing at the first property after complaining it's "too small".

House hunters Jeanette and Phil from Manchester were looking for a three bedroom house that's big enough to fit for their big extended family.

With outside space as a primary criteria, the couple also wanted to live close to amenities like shops and cafes.

They chose to look for a holiday home in the Greek island of Crete, even though they'd never been.

And when property expert Jean Johansson took them to their first property in the town of Plaka, things went wrong.

Taking the couple to the house, Jean said: "Right up you come, we've got an open-plan kitchen-living, a terrace off either side. Speak to –

Jeanette interrupted Jean as she looked around and said: "I'm thinking, erm, it's a little bit small – the living area, quite a lot of big furniture.

"I think it's still a little bit small for the size of our family. And if everybody was to come over, I think there probably wouldn't be a lot of space."

Husband Phil shared his thought: "Kitchen is good size, it's just the living space, the sitting area."

Jean tried to persuade the couple to see past the furniture.

She added: "I will suggest to you, your guests are gonna come out here for the summer, aren't they?

"How much time are they gonna be inside? You've got a space out there, you've got a space out here. You've got sea views here, mountain views there.

"Do you think the views could change your mind with this property?"

Jean led the viewers to one of the two balconies for the gorgeous view.

However, it didn't win Jeanette over.

She said: "That probably wouldn't work either because we'd be squeezing past chairs, althought the views are fantastic. The house just wouldn't work."

Fans can already sense how the episode is likely to go, as one wrote: "It's going to be one of those 'it's too small' brag editions."

Another commented: "Jeanette has no imagination and struggles to see past what's in front of her nose."

"Everything is going to be wrong or Madam Face-ache," a third added.
