A PLACE in the Sun host Jonnie Irwin has revealed that he had no symptoms before he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The popular TV presenter went public with his heartbreaking diagnosis earlier in the year and confirmed he had just 'months' to live and that this Christmas is likely to be his last.
The father to Rex, who turns four on Christmas Day, and twins, Cormac and Rafa, two, with wife Jess, 40, admitted: "I went from no symptoms at all to a terminal diagnosis in a couple of days,"
The star had just finished filming an edition of popular Channel 4 property show A Place in the Sun, Jonnie began to feel unwell whist driving saying he had 'squares in his vision'.
He further added to MailOnline: "I wanted to finish the show but…. they did some tests. I went home, returned the following day and they said I had six months to live."
He had been living with lung cancer unknowingand the terrible diesease had spread to other parts of his body.

Eventually, tumours and lymph nodes were left pressing against his brain.
In a further blow, the star has told of initially being offered a 'wonder drug' but added that the cancer returned so violently it even 'shocked the doctors'.
The presenter heartbreakingly added: "I've had a big dose of reality. I'm not going to beat this. People say, 'Don't worry. You will.' Well I probably won't, mate,'".
It comes after he admitted that he and his wife are not planning to tell their children that it will likely be his last Christmas with him.

Jonnie said: “When I'm more frail or in bed for days we might.
“If you have 20 days left, why spend them in mourning and confusion? Why not just have 15 days of pure, blissful ignorance and five days of knowing the facts?
“I'm not looking forward to the chat with Rex. We're still thinking about it. I've learnt that it's best to do nothing if you're unsure.”
