I Can See Your Voice returned to screens on Saturday night and saw Paddy McGuinness and his team of celebrity investigators try and help two contestants win a life-changing sum of money. On the star-studded panel were Jimmy Carr, Alison Hammond, Amanda Holden and special guest, Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley. Unable to resist teasing his BBC co-stars, Jimmy took a brutal jibe at Amanda’s appearance.

Last night’s contestants saw Glenda and Paul from Essex work together to eliminate the fake singers and win £10,000.

One contestant named themselves No Scrubs which was a homage to their lifestyle studying medicine in university.

After her performance, the panel began to discuss whether they thought she was a real singer and the possibility of her being the real deal.

Taking his chance, Jimmy asked: “You know, No Scrubs, would it be appropriate to take a moment to thank the doctors and nurses that are working tirelessly over the last couple of years?”

He took a short pause before teasing: “On Amanda’s new face.” She could be seen laughing in the background as Alison exclaimed: “Jimmy!”

Taking the role seriously and determined to help Glenda and Paul make the right decision, Amanda added: “I think she can sing.

“She is a student and universities and places like that they have theatre groups and after college, they go out singing and for entertainment, I reckon she’s not necessarily…”

However, before she was able to finish Jimmy jumped in once again and joked: “How would Amanda know she hasn’t got a GCSE?”

Not convinced of No Scrubs’ performance, Glenda and Paul decided they were going to eliminate her from the line-up.

Fortunately for them, they were correct in their decision as she began to sing, it was clear that she was one of the imposters.

No Scrubs was revealed as Bella who was a university student who enjoys performing at university but only in speaking roles.

Discussing her performance after, Alison brutally expressed: “She is so bad!”

Jimmy added: “That is the first time in two years that I haven’t clapped the NHS. Your voice is appalling.”

Wanting to know more about Bella, Paddy asked: “So you are a medical student, what are you studying?”

Bella bluntly replied: “So yeah, studying medicine.”

Impressed at her wit and the joke landing on Paddy, Jimmy stood applauding and asked: “Can we keep her in the show?”

Going into more depth, Bella explained: “Studying medicine but I have just taken a year out to study a masters in human nutrition.”

As it came down to the final two contestants, Glenda and Paul decided to go with their gut once again and thought that contestant Go The Distance was the real singer.

He joined Tony Hadley for a special edition of his song Gold and was revealed as the correct singer, leaving Paul and Glenda crying in shock.

Go The Distance was revealed as Charlie Marshall who enjoys performing and has been in theatre shows such as Cinderella and Puss in Boots.

I Can See Your Voice airs Saturday from 9:05pm on BBC One.
