Anton du Bekes wife and children make rare appearance in new series.
Anton du Beke and Giovanni Pernice recently embarked on a new project together away from Strictly Come Dancing.
The professional dancers travelled around Giovanni’s home town in Sicily where they tried their hand at several challenges.
However, in the third episode of the BBC series, Giovanni and Anton were reunited with their families to celebrate the Strictly champion’s 30th birthday.
It was also an emotional moment for Giovanni when his mum and dad finally got to meet his former Strictly partner Rose Ayling-Ellis.
But, the dancer had a surprise for Anton up his sleeve, when he flew over his pal’s wife, Hannah and his two children, George and Henrietta.
Anton met Hannah at Wentworth Golf Club in 2012 and they wed in 2017 shortly after welcoming their children.
The Strictly judge tends to keep him family out of the limelight, but in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk and other press, he said he was thrilled to have them by his side at the end of his new series.
“One of the loveliest moments for me was when Hannah and the children came over at the end and it was Giovanni’s family and my family coming together,” Anton recalled.
“That for me was a highlight of my life and that is coming from a father I suppose.”
Giovanni said it was also a special moment for him as he admitted, he has always looked up to Anton.

“Since I started Strictly Come Dancing and the Strictly Come Dancing institution that’s what we call it, we ended up being good friends,” he shared.
“And then we did our show together for two years and this is our third so we know each other very well.
“And I already classified Anton as a friend, so it was nice to share this experience with a friend.”
Referencing the moment Anton met his family, Giovanni continued: “It was nice watching as an outsider when you met my family.
“Anton has always been my family away from home, so combining my real family and my family away from home which is Anton, it was beautiful.
“It was a moment in my life I felt proud of myself and happy.
“That’s how I felt when I saw my dad and Anton hugging, it was a special moment.”
Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures in Sicily is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
