Bake Off's Prue Leith slams Friends star David Schwimmer saying he 'didn't want to talk to anyone' on celeb edition | The Sun

BAKE Off judge Prue Leith has revealed Friends actor David Schwimmer 'didn't want to talk to anyone' while filming the celebrity edition of the Channel 4 show.

The Ross Gellar actor, 56, is the most famous name to have ever taken part in the Stand Up 2 Cancer charity special, and he didn't take it lightly.

Prue told the Mirror: "Well, he must have been the most famous person we had in the tent. And I was very excited about it.

"What I was surprised about, though, was I thought he'd behave like he behaved as Ross, he'd be like he was in Friends, but he was actually very concentrated and didn't want to talk to anybody.

"He just wanted to get on baking and he badly wanted to win. He loosened up after a while."

David became a global superstar in the 90s alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt Le Blanc in US sitcom Friends.

In the special, David says he is a big fan of the show and wants to have fun in the famous white tent while raising awareness and money for a cancer charity.

Joining him on the special is ex-Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, Loose Women stars Coleen Nolan and Judi Love as well as Towie legend Gemma Collins.

In a statement at the time, the Little Britain star said: "Farewell Bake Off! It's been a delicious experience and I can't imagine a more fun way of spending my summers.

"But it's become clear to me that I can't present both Fantasy Football League and Bake Off alongside all my other projects.

"So, after three series and 51 episodes, I am cheerfully passing the baguette on to someone else.

"I would like to give my warmest thanks and gratitude to everyone at Love Productions and Channel 4 and to Noelipops, Paul, Dame Prue, the crew and, of course, the wonderful bakers for welcoming me into the tent.

"I wish whoever takes over the very best and I can't wait to tune into the next series without already knowing who won!"
