BBC Breakfast’s Naga and Charlie slammed for ‘making interviewee uncomfortable’
BBC Breakfast hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt have been accused by viewers of "making guests feel uncomfortable" after one very awkward interview.
The presenters were joined by chef and author Max La Manna to talk about food waste at Christmas as he gave some money, food and energy saving tips.
However, after an apparent grilling from Munchetty and Stayt, the interview turned "awkward" and fans turned to Twitter to comment.

One wrote: "Naga and Charlie know how to make guests feel uncomfortable."
Another typed: "That was a proper awkward interview around wasted food. I loved it."
A third viewer wrote: "Good answer to Charlie's question – how much is [actually] wasted," and added a thinking emoji, before they praised Max for "rolling off the figures" and "not rehearsing".
La Manna informed viewers on how to save money around the holiday season and one of his tricks was to boil pasta for a couple of minutes, turn the heat off, add a lid and let the steam do the rest until al dente.
Naga snapped back with a doubtful tone and told him that the packets usually suggest a 10 minute boil before questioning how his method would get the same results.
Seemingly stumped, Max had a blank expression on his face and admitted that he didn't know exactly how the technique works – but defended himself by saying "an Italian scientist" came up with the idea.
He also suggested using leftover potato peelings to make crisps, but one outraged viewer urged people to consider the cost of turning on the oven to cook them.
Munchetty grilled him further and asked what he does with the stem of a broccoli, to which he quickly told her that he "steams it and blends it up into a pesto".
Later on, he made a comment about Christmas puddings that clearly left Charlie at a loss for words.
Stayt repeated a figure and asked La Manna whether he had said that UK "throws away 25 million Christmas puddings a year".
Max gave a solemn nod toward the host and made a "mind blown" expression with his hands and labelled it "baffling," while Charlie looked on in amazement.
Stayt then admitted that he was "struggling with that one" and told viewers to "check it out".
The presenters eventually called time on the interview and thanked Max for talking to them before they moved on to the next report.
