BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent replaced AGAIN in host shake-up as Jon Kay leaves the studio | The Sun
BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent was replaced AGAIN today in a host shake-up as Jon Kay left the studio.
Sally, 50, usually presents the BBC morning show Monday to Wednesday, with Jon, 52, recently being confirmed as her new permanent co-host.
However, the pair haven't had chance to present together since Jon's appointment as he was forced to miss last week's shows after testing positive for Covid and so far Sally has been absent from the show this week.
The star was nowhere to be seen on Mondays show, with Nina Warhurst standing in for her, and it was the same situation today.
While Nina, 41, was in the BBC Breakfast studio, Jon was presenting on location at Droitwich Spa Lido amid the UK's heatwave.
Nina was by herself at the studio as weather reporter Carol Kirkwood was hosting her segments from Kew Gardens, and business correspondent Ben Boulos was at King's Cross reporting on the travel chaos caused by the unprecedented hot temperatures.

Sally hasn't revealed the reason why she is missing from this week's line up, but she could be on a well deserved holiday.
Meanwhile Jon was loving life at the pool today, telling viewers: "It looks like a wonderful, wonderful place to dive in.
"I haven't got any trunks with me, but I've been told there might be some in lost property that we might be able to borrow later in the morning – but I wouldn't inflict that on you if you're watching!
"We might do that in the privacy of our own time after the programme!"

Jon will be hoping for a more pleasant outdoor hosting experience than yesterday, when he was pooed on by a pigeon while presenting from Cambridge.
He said to Carol: "Carol, have you got any tips for removing bird poo from linen jackets? Because I've just been splatted by a pigeon."
Carol burst out laughing before suggesting: "Try one of these wet wipe things – it might spread it a wee bit, but if you use a few…"
Jon looked dubious and said: "It could get messy, couldn't it? I'm slightly anxious about doing this. I've also got another jacket – maybe we'll go for that option for now and hit the dry cleaners a bit later!"
The presenter dabbed at his jacket but the stain wouldn't budge, and he said: "Right, I'm going off to dab my jacket, we'll try and get that sorted.
"In the meantime – I'm just glad it wasn't a swan, to be honest. It was just a pigeon."
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
