Bravo’s hit reality series Below Deck Mediterranean continues to entertain fans each week with drunken feuds, forbidden affairs and demanding guests. Following her return to screens, deckhand Courtney Veale spoke on whether there would a romance throughout season seven.
When season seven landed on screens, fans fumed to see Bosun Raygan Tyler caused a grave error which led to the yacht’s first collision.
As a result, Captain Sandy Yawn was forced to fire Raygan, after she relied on her for navigation.
Raygan helped the skipper and managed to confuse three metres with zero metres, which led to the yacht striking a buoy as it came into port.
Following Raygan’s dismissal, Courtney Veale joined the charter midseason and received a promotion to deckhand.
Courtney originally appeared on the show during season six and quickly became a fan favourite for her personality and hilarious commentary.
Her comeback also meant she reunited with her former hook-up Mzi ‘Zee’ Dempers.
Although the pair remained friends, Courtney addressed whether fans could soon see them reunite as lovers.
Speaking on her policy of boat romances, she stated: “From my personal experience outside of these seasons, I feel like they never end well.
“Though, I’ve seen a couple of really nice stories where boatmances have become permanent.
“In a month or so, I’m going to my friend’s wedding, she was the first stew on a boat, and she is marrying the second officer.”
Courtney added: “Other factors are the size of the boat, the length of the season, and, how stressful the season turns out to be.
“I don’t think I would ever get into another boatmance personally,” she concluded.

During season six, Courtney and Zee made the mutual decision to put an end to the romance in hopes of saving their friendship.
Fans had also shared their desire for the pair to make things official, especially after he brought her flowers.
However, during the reunion, she made it clear they were just friends and shared they had never hooked up.
But when Courtney joined the charter during season seven, she was relieved to see a Zee.
During her interview, she added: “I was very excited and nervous. I just didn’t want to mess up.
“I was afraid that Zee maybe would expect me to be good at the job right away, and I was still learning at the time, however, the minute I saw him he became my safety net.
“It can be tricky joining a yacht midway through the season, but Zee helped me make the transition so easily.
“We were back to our good banter which definitely helps the work environment,” the deckhand told Decider.com.
Fans are hoping the pair will consider giving their romance another go in the new season.
