Big shock for Tony and Diane in Hollyoaks after major mishap ahead of explosion
Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) faces the well-earned wrath of wife Diane (Alex Fletcher) in Hollyoaks next week, when he continues to neglect her for the sake of his duties as a councillor.
Diane, as viewers know, has been struggling with Tony’s commitment to his vocation since he won the position on the council, as this – coupled with his work at the pub – has left him with no time for her.
The landlady of The Dog voiced her concerns for her marriage to Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power) earlier this week, and soon she devised a plan for a romantic evening with her beau, but her efforts ultimately backfired – quite dramatically!
Tony, as fans are aware, arrived back home with a number of his colleagues, leaving Diane mortified.
The couple’s marriage woes continue next week, as seen in the accompanying pictures, shared exclusively with Metro.co.uk.
Tony, you see, puts his foot in it when he invites Diane to his important work golf trip, only for him to hand her a list of chores to complete first!
Tony, mate. Really.
Diane is less than pleased, and when she’s compared to a first lady, she ultimately declines his offer, with this proving to be the final straw for her.
Tony realises that he has some serious making up to do on his hands, especially when he leaves her to sort all the planning for the extravagant carnival he’s arranged for the subsequent week.
Diane’s first task is trying to find a home for hundreds of coconuts after her husband’s order mishap.
The question is: will the once happy couple get back on the same page?
The aforementioned carnival is set to be the scene for the unmissable Hollyoaks stunt week, which is rapidly approaching.
The Channel 4 soap is ‘going for it’, according to boss Lucy Allan, who confirmed that the upcoming catastrophic explosion will be ‘centred around the community’.
‘I know that there have been some extraordinary ones away from the village, but we wanted to do something that encapsulated so many of our stories, pulling them all together in one space, and within the iconography of Hollyoaks itself,’ she told Metro.co.uk earlier this year.
Consider us excited!
Hollyoaks airs these scenes next week at 7pm on E4, or stream first look episodes daily on All4 from midnight.
