Over the years, there have been plenty of romances to have come out of Strictly Come Dancing, as the couples spend an intense few months together. Newest professional dancer Carlos Gu has been partnered up with singer Molly Rainford and revealed the “ban” he has implemented on their partnership.
The dancing duo joined the Loose Women panel on Wednesday afternoon to look at their journey so far in the series.
With the run-up to the final in a couple of weeks, the competition is getting hotter than ever but Carlos has a “strict” way of keeping Molly in check.
Jane Moore asked: “One of you has put a dating ban on the other, which way around is it?”
Molly laughed and explained: “So, it was so funny because everyone is always asking, they want to know who is into who on Strictly.
“And I am always like ‘What time do you have to date?’ and then he was like ‘No you’re not allowed anyway, you need to be practising.'”
Carlos added: “Very strict.”
Carol McGiffin added: “At this point in time, do you secretly think that you have got a chance to win? Obviously, you have a chance, but do you think you will?”
Carlos admitted: “I don’t think we are going to say we are going to win, but we are going to do exactly what we need to do to approach that Glitterball.”
As the remaining contestants move into musicals week, Molly revealed the pair were dancing the Charleston.
“I am so excited about it,” she exclaimed. “Since I have watched Strictly I have always wanted to do a Charleston and we are doing it to Chicago.
“It’s intense, it is a very energetic dance, there is a lot of steps, and for this dance, we have extra choreographers and I feel like they are really pushing me this week.”
This weekend, due to the World Cup games being on, the Strictly live show will be moved to Friday, 2 December at 8pm.
The results will be shown on Saturday, 3 December from 5:40pm when another celebrity will be eliminated from the series.
A statement clarifying the change said: “Strictly Come Dancing will continue to bring glitter, glamour and glorious dancing to homes across the nation throughout the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“The quarter-final of Strictly Come Dancing will now air live on Friday 2nd December and the semi-final will now air live on Sunday 11th December on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.”
Last weekend, Ellie Taylor was the latest celebrity to be booted from the competition alongside her partner Johannes Radebe.
Speaking after her exit to host Tess Daly, she said: “I’m going to be a cliché machine now, but it’s been everything and more.
“I never in a million years expected to be in for this long and to experience it so fully. It’s been an absolute privilege to become part of the Strictly alumni and I’ve really really loved it.”
The Strictly final is set to take place on Saturday, 17 December where the new champions will lift the Glitterball trophy.
Strictly Come Dancing airs Friday from 8pm on BBC One.
