Casa Amor recoupling is ‘one for the history books’ as bloodbath sees multiple couples split
Love Island saw Casa Amor come to a close on Wednesday, 5 July, with fans claiming that the dramatic recoupling will be "one for the history books."
The bloodbath saw multiple couples split, including fan-favourites Catherine Agbaje and Scott van de Sluis, and original Islanders from this season, Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde.
As the dramatic scenes aired, fans took to social media to share that they had been left "heartbroken" for Scott, claiming that Catherine had "thrown away 50k" as she returned to the main villa with Elom Ahlijah-Wilson.
However the same couldn't be said for Tyrique, as fans instead wrote that they were "delighted" that Ella had chosen to recouple with Ouzy See, with many arguing that they had "no sympathy" for the footballer.
The episode also saw Zachariah Noble and Molly Marsh finally recouple following her shock return to the villa, but the couple's happiness may be short-lived as Kady McDermott, with whom Zach had been coupled up with ahead of Casa returned to the villa single.
Some fans shared their predictions that Kady, who previously appeared on the show back in 2016, will soon enter her "villain era"
Another couple hit with trouble was Sammy Root and Jess Harding, who have been on-again-off-again in the villa, with Sammy choosing to now couple with newcomer Amber Wise while Jess has returned from Casa single.
There could also be some trouble brewing for Leah Taylor and Montel Mackenzie despite the pair choosing to recouple with another.
Ahead of her departure from the villa Casa bombshell Tink Reading revealed that she was rather surprised that Montel hadn't chosen to couple up with her after the pair were not particularly PG while sharing a bed over the last few nights.
As the episode aired, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the recoupling, with some claiming that it would be "one for the history books."
One fan wrote: "YES ELLA. CHAOS. DRAMA. THIS IS GREAT TV. #LoveIsland" as another added: "that was a casa amor recoupling for the history books #loveisland"
A third compared it to the recent winter series, quipping: "That one episode was better than the whole winter series #LoveIsland"
While a fourth added: "Tonight's #loveIsland was everything. So much drama. Would not be in the least surprised if Ty sets the villa on fire after that. Great stuff [applause emoji]"
And the drama seems set to continue in coming episodes, as narrator Iain Stirling hinted in the sneak peek at tomorrow's show, saying: "The recoupling sends the villa into meltdown."
