Chloe crushed as Mack rejects her kiss in Emmerdale
Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) was left feeling very awkward at the end of Wednesday’s (May 31) edition of Emmerdale as Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) swerved when she leaned in to kiss him.
The new parents have faced drama ever since Reuben was born. Aside from the fact Charity (Emma Atkins) now knows the truth about who Reuben’s dad is, the young boy spent the first few weeks of his life in hospital with bacterial meningitis.
With Charity and Mack now separated, he has spent a lot of time with Chloe and bonding with Reuben.
This has caused Chloe to catch feelings for Mackenzie again, something that cropped up tonight.
As they headed to hospital for a check-up, it was clear Mack and Chloe were enjoying spending time with each other, a far cry from how they were a few months ago – arguing and definitely not on the same page.
Fortunately, it was good news as the doctor gave Reuben the all clear, which meant Mack and Chloe could head home.
Once the parents got back to the village, they found themselves ‘nap trapped’ aka – Reuben had fallen asleep and if Mackenzie or Chloe made too much noise, he’d wake up, ruining his sleeping pattern.
They chatted away and laughed as Chloe made a comment about them being able to be parents and not clash.
Just before Chloe headed back home, she stood on the doorstep chatting to Mack.
Feeling the chemistry growing, Chloe tried to kiss him but he swerved, brushing it off and commenting on how emotional the day had been.
While it was an awkward moment, Jessie Elland told us that Chloe is not going to give up on the possibility of a relationship with Mackenzie and the driving force for this is security for herself and her baby.
‘Deep down she has yearned for this family unit’, she said.
‘Especially with everything that’s happened in her past with her family and her sister and her dad and then coming to the village and having that ripped from underneath her when she found out that Kerry (Laura Norton) was her mum, then having that new family and that being taken away from her…She’s desperate to have some kind of family grounding. Having the three of them as a little unit, that would be a dream for her.’
