Coronation Street star almost had a fight with a Boots queue-jumper
Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has revealed that he was once left upset during a visit to a Boots store after a woman allegedly skipped the queue.
The actor, who plays David Platt in the ITV soap, told fans all about the incident while on stage during an intimate gig with co-stars Ben Price and Colson Smith, who he hosts a podcast with.
The soap star had the audience giggling, revealing that he ‘nearly had a fight’ with the alleged queue-jumper after a trip to Boots to purchase some moisturiser.
‘So I’m there, right?’, started Jack, recalling the tale for those in attendance. ‘I’m in the queue and I don’t know about you but whenever I’m queuing up for something there’s always someone f***ing returning something in front of me.
‘Do you know what I mean? And there’s this old boy there and he’s taking ages, bless him.’
Colson was quick to ask if it was the old man in question that Jack ‘nearly had a fight’ with, but Jack clarified that it wasn’t, revealing that the queue-jumper was the woman who was ‘hovering’ nearby.
‘She’s rogue, she’s a sniper and she’s got some wipes in her hand,’ continued Jack. ‘She’s just hovering.’
‘Simple wipes is straight in, straight in. Well, I’ve seen f***ing red. I’ve gone, “Scuse me!”.
‘Do you know what she’s done? “I was there before you” The cashier on the desk said, “Yeah, she was!”’ – a revelation which left the audience in shock.
The David Platt star went on to reveal that he questioned the cashier, who then claimed that she was serving the woman at another till before being buzzed to take over at the one in question.
The video of Jack recalling the incident was shared on the official Instagram account for Sofa Cinema Club, the podcast he hosts with Ben and Colson.
