Coronation Street: Paul struggles to lift his wine glass

Coronation Street’s Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) could face yet another blow after he confessed to cheating on partner Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).

Earlier this week, Paul headed to the hotel bar to let off some steam after he was arguing with Billy and his mum.

While there he bumped into an ex-boyfriend and things quickly escalated as they drank together.

Heading to his hotel room, his ex-partner Zack kissed Paul and he reciprocated, although he soon retracted and confessed he was with somebody else.

On Wednesday’s episode, he came clean to Billy about the kiss along with the fact Zack had stolen the £800 that had been raised.

During the scenes, Paul told Billy he didn’t deserve him as he broke down in tears over his actions.

An emotional, Paul said: ”I really am a piece of trash, I don’t know why you’re with me,” to which Billy replied: “Neither do I.”

It wasn’t long before viewers watching took to Twitter to praise Paul for coming clean, despite the potential heartbreak.

@Soaps_extra added: “Don’t feel sorry for Paul at all dying or not Billy should open his eyes and dump him.”

@Perfwithsurf said: “Billy says he doesn’t know why he’s with Paul. With a bit of luck, he will go. He’s been in Corrie far too long.”

@unsworth1live added: “Billy’s going to either leave Paul for good or forgive Paul. For me, I’d leave him ill or not. Once a cheat always a cheat!”

As Billy left the house furious, Paul asked if he was leaving him, to which he admitted he wasn’t sure.

Although the duo seemed to make up towards the end of the episode, can Billy get past the betrayal?

Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
