Corrie’s Charlie De Melo branded ‘1970’s porn star’ after major transformation

Former Coronation Street actor Charlie De Melo has shocked fans with his major facial hair transformation.

The former soap star uploaded a sweet snap with a pal and sent his Instagram followers wild with his latest look, which is dramatically different to his usual style.

The TV star shared the photo earlier this week and captioned the post "Ditch n' Tache".

Fans were quick to fly to the comment section, with one writing: "THAT is a tache!!"

A second added: "That lip rug though!!!"

While a third joked: "I spy 1970’s porn star x"

"I want to break free," shared a fourth highlighting the similarities between him and the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

A fifth put: "Nose piercing too! Looking great x"

"The nose piercing is great, the 'tache is….yeah…. But it's where all about them love heart glasses I need to know where they're from," posted a sixth.

Others thought he looked like TV detective Magum and said: "Your rocking the Magnum PI look Charlie" "and Auditioning to be the new Magnum PI?"

Another complimented him and said: "Absolutely stunning gorgeous beautiful delicious"

Charlie appeared as Imran Habeeb on Coronation Street between November 2017 and June 2022.

The Corrie star styled her shiny blonde locks with a beautiful blow-dried swish and let them fall over her shoulders in a relaxed but glam style.

At the star-studded soap party, Tina was joined by her fellow Weatherfield stars such as Sair Khan, who stunned party-goers in a lime green skirt.

Corrie star Ellie Leach wore a show-stopping white striped number to the summer soap bash.

Tina's other ITV co-stars such as Jack P Shepherd, Bill Roach and Sue Cleaver also all dressed to impress on the night and appeared drastically different from their on-screen personas.

Tina has become a longstanding Corrie star and has played Sarah for an impressive 23 years after first joining the cobbles in 1999.
