Damian Lewis enjoys 'hot dates' with rocker Alison Mosshart 14 months after wife Helen McCrory's death | The Sun

ACTOR Damian Lewis may have found love again 14 months after the death of his wife Helen McCrory.

The star of Band of Brothers and Homeland, who tragically lost Peaky Blinders star Helen to cancer last year, appeared in high spirits on two hot dates with rocker Alison Mosshart, according to reports.

The Kills frontwoman Alison, 43, joined Damien, 51, at the Serpentine Gallery's annual summer party last week.

Days earlier, the couple were seen together at a fundraising party for London's National Gallery.

A witness also spotted them on the tube, and told The Mail on Sunday the pair looked "100 per cent romantically involved – like they were on a hot date.

"I wasn't sure if it was him at first but his voice is so deep and distinctive.

Who was Helen McCrory and how did she die?

"But after all he's been through it is lovely to think he's found someone new. They looked really happy together."

It is unclear if a relationship has started. They have been approached for comment by The Sun.

Brave Helen urged her husband Damian to "find love again" shortly before she died of cancer aged just 52.

Writing in the Sunday Times, he revealed last year: "She has been utterly heroic in her illness. Funny, of course — generous, brave, uncomplaining, constantly reminding us all of how lucky we’ve been, how blessed we are.

"Her generosity has extended to encouraging us three to live. Live fully, take opportunities, have adventures.

"Only a couple of weeks ago she said to us from her bed, 'I want Daddy to have girlfriends, lots of them, you must all love again, love isn’t possessive, but you know, Damian, try at least to get though the funeral without snogging someone.'"

Damien, who married Helen in 2007, spoke about feeling close to Helen at Soccer Aid this year, shortly after the anniversary of her death.

On Good Morning Britain, host Ben Shephard remarked: "The first time I met you and your lovely wife Helen away from work was at Soccer Aid many years ago in Manchester and you were there with the family and the kids. She was always such a vociferous supporter of you and everything you did.

"Kate (Garraway) and I were very honoured to be at her memorial service just a few weeks ago. I'd imagine you've been very moved by the outpouring of love and support that has been shown towards her since she sadly passed away.'

Damian replied: "Well, She was a fabulous human being and people from all walks of life have been in touch to say what an impact she had on their lives.

"That day we had a few weeks ago was a very special day, I'm very glad you could have been part of it and she was celebrated by her tribe, her profession, the acting profession – actors, directors, producers, writers all showed up and she's much, much missed.

"When she came to Soccer Aid the very first time, I'd gone into my hotel room at The Lowry in Manchester and it was covered in Union Jack bunting and England flags everywhere which she'd gone out and bought and decorated the room with. So, she's with us. She's with us again this year."

Damien revealed last year that he and Helen helped raise £1.5million to feed NHS staff during the Covid lockdowns.

The Band of Brothers star said 40,000 meals a day were provided to 100 hospitals.

Damian, who also starred in Sky Atlantic’s Billions, has since been awarded a CBE for his services to charity.

He travelled to Bolivia in 2005 as part of his work for Christian Aid, which funds some of the world’s poorest countries.

He was last seen on TV co-hosting the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Windsor Castle.
