The presenter, who is best known for hosting the X Factor and This Morning, is celebrating his 50th birthday today ( May 24 ).

The popular presenter is known for his adored friendship with Holly Willoughby.

Dermot fulfilled the role of usher at Holly's wedding and was recently praised for sending her a gift basket when she had the shingles.

It comes after ITV bosses were rumoured to be in crisis talks following an alleged off-air feud between Phil and Holly.

Dermot has had his fair share of wardrobe blunders with one of his most recent being an awkward moment with his zip.

The 50-year-old was so busy flaunting his bread-making skills, that he failed to notice his undone trousers.

Fans were left distracted by the awkward error and joked about the "unexpected ingredient."

One viewer said: "Once you realise @radioleary is flying low, you can't watch the bread anymore… do your zip up."

Another wrote: "Oh no Dermot's zip is down and he's vigorously kneading the bread, I sense a disaster pending."
