Diane makes emotional return to say final goodbyes in Emmerdale death story

Diane Sugden (Elisabeth Estensen) makes her way back to the Emmerdale village next week to say her final goodbye to Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter).

Last seen a year ago, the surprise return of Diane is thanks to Cain (Jeff Hordley), Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Rodney (Patrick Mower), who decide to bring the seaside to the village when Faith’s health takes another turn, leaving her unable to travel.

Faith is thrilled to bits when she arrives in the village to see the transformation, her smile beaming as she watches her family revel in the fun.

When Diane arrives, Faith squeals with happiness and Chas and Rodney exchange a glance; a job well done.

While Chas goes off to spend more time with Al (Michael Wildman), the residents enjoy every single minute with Faith watching it all – happy.

As the day continues, Cain asks Faith if she’d like to dance (honestly, we are crying just typing this) and after, she holds a family picture against her heart, completely content.

When Brenda, Pollard and Diane come together, they vow to create as many memories with Faith as they can, unaware their friend is preparing to say her final goodbyes before she ends her days alone.
