Dotty leaves Sonia homeless after Dot's funeral in EastEnders?
Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) is left fearing that she’ll be left homeless in EastEnders, convinced that Dotty Cotton (Milly Zero) will inherit Dot’s (June Brown) house, in which she currently resides.
Emotions run high in upcoming scenes, as faces from both the past and present unite on the morning of Dot’s funeral to say goodbye to the much-loved legendary character.
Sonia reminisces about Dot with the likes of Jack (Scott Maslen) and Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen), and admits her writers block as she struggles to write the eulogy.
Martin (James Bye) tracks Sonia down at launderette and encourages her to speak from the heart, and later, the residents of Albert Square line the streets to say goodbye to Dot.
Sonia, however, soon has other things to worry about, as she’s concerned that Dotty will leave her homeless if she inherits No. 25.
The morning of the will reading is a tense one, as Sonia, Dotty, Jack and Dot’s great-nephew Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) gather, while solicitor Kenneth Foskett divulges Dot’s last wishes.
But will Sonia be left without a roof over her head?
That remains to be seen. Either way, Dotty is not long for the Square, as actress Milly Zero confirmed last month that she has left the long-running serial drama.
‘After three and a half years, I have decided my journey with the icon that is Dotty Cotton has come to an end,’ she said
‘I can’t tell you how life changing and incredible my time at EastEnders has been, and how much I am going to miss it, but I am ready for new challenges now.‘
