With the party in full swing, the siblings reminisce and Avery thanks Mitch for what he’s done.
As Mitch talks to him, Avery passes away.
Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) encourage Mitch to support Avery's children Finlay (Ashley Byam) and Felix (Matthew Morrison) so he takes them for lunch at Walford East where they discuss some expensive funeral plans.
Later In The Vic, Karen gives Mitch a letter she found from Avery and he makes a shocking discovery.
Elsewhere, With Rocky (Brian Conley) in her ear about Ben’s behaviour, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) visits Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) at The Arches and suggests he speaks to a specialist who can help him.
They are interrupted by a customer, James, who Ben soon realises he went to school with.
As Ben takes him to the car lot to purchase a car, James begins to flirt with him leaving Ben uncomfortable.
Things get worse for Kathy as tensions continue to simmer between Ben and Rocky and fed up of how he is treating Kathy, Rocky snaps at Ben and gives him some home truths.
The situation gets out of hand and as Ben goes to punch Rocky, Kathy jumps in to protect Rocky and Ben accidentally punches her instead.
Later at The Arches, Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) is surprised to see Ben, who is meant to be on leave, and tries to offer him some advice.
Kheerat later bumps into Callum Highway (Tony Clay) and worried about Ben, suggests he checks-in on him.

A guilty Ben apologises to Kathy but when Kathy encourages him to get help, he snaps at her again.
Kathy turns to tough love and makes the painful decision not to speak to him until he gets help.
With dad Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) busy, Ben has no one to turn to but when he bumps into James, he agrees to go for a drink with him.
As Rocky comforts Kathy, Ben takes up James’ offer and takes drugs with him.
Ben wakes up in The Arches and tries to cover when Kheerat enters, hiding the drugs and dismissing Kheerat’s concerns.
However as Kheerat shares some sentimental words about their friendship and Ben is consumed with guilt over what he did to Jags Panesar (Amar Adatia).
Self-loathing, Ben takes more drugs and bumps into Phil who is concerned about Ben’s behaviour.
At Peggy’s, Ben causes a scene and realising he is high, Kheerat takes him back to the Panesar’s to be checked by Ash Panesar (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha).
Ben refuses their help and as Kheerat stands by his friend, the guilt becomes too much for Ben and he tells the Panesars that he killed Jags as he stopped the protection in prison.
The Panesars are stunned by Ben’s shocking admission but how will Kheerat react to Ben being the reason that Jags is dead?
