EastEnders drops massive hint Cindy Beale is George Knight’s missing wife | The Sun
SOAP fans have gone wild after finding out that Cindy Beale will be returning to Walford in upcoming scenes.
Next week, EastEnders drops a hint that she may have a strong connection with newcomer George Knight.
The BBC One soap introduced George as Elaine Peacock's new life partner as he settles into The Queen Vic with his two adult daughters, Anna and Gina, in tow.
Elaine (portrayed by Harriet Thorpe) is all loved-up as George (Colin Salmon) makes himself at home in Albert Square.
But Elaine's daughter Linda (Kellie Bright) struggles with the Knight family invasion.
Few clues about George's life before Walford have been dropped but next week, Elaine confides in Linda about Gina and Anna's mother.

According to her, the unknown woman walked out on George and the family nine years prior to their arrival in the Square and she never looked back.
Could this be confirmation that George Knight's missing wife may be Cindy Beale?
As mentioned above, the villainess played by EastEnders icon Michelle Collins will be returning to the London-based program alongside her former husband Ian Beale aka Adam Woodyatt.
Cindy was last heard from in 1998 after she was arrested for her attempted hit on Ian.

At the time, she had been trying to fight him for the custody of their children and had to flee from Walford without her own daughter Lucy.
Cindy had managed to get custody of Lucy, Steven and Peter prior to her arrest but was soon thrown in prison and Ian won full custody of their children.
At the time of her arrest, she was pregnant with her former boyfriend Nick Holland's child.
Once he realised she was guilty of attempted murder, Nick left her in prison without any money for a lawyer.
On November 5, 1998, Ian received the news that Cindy had supposedly died in childbirth but her daughter, also named Cindy in her mother's honour, had survived.

Regular viewers of the soap are fully convinced that Cindy's upcoming return coinciding with the Knight's arrival in Albert Square is nothing short of a hint that they're all connected.
One clue this could well be true is Gina Knight herself – could she have been named after Cindy's sister?
