EastEnders fans call out baffling Raymond blunder – raging 'the writers messed up!' | The Sun
EAGLE-EYED EastEnders fans have called out the writers for "messing up" in a line related to young Raymond.
During last Wednesday's trip to Albert Square, Denise Fox was seen recruiting Phil Mitchell to pick up their son from nursery.
Eager to meet up with Ravi Gulati for a night together in a hotel, but trying to keep it secret, she set about making plans to make sure Raymond was being taken care of.
Thankfully Phil was happy to accommodate, saying he's happy to take him in the evening, but Denise responded: "No it's fine, just pick him up from nursery, works for me."
However, fans were confused considering the toddler is six years old – meaning he's too old for to be in nursery, even in the world of EastEnders.
Traditionally, kids start school years in the first year after their fourth birthday, and remain so until they graduate at the age of 16.

So if Raymond was born in 2017… something doesn't add up.
"Raymond is 6, why would Phil be picking him up from nursery?" questioned one.
"Did anyone notice last nights episode. The writers messed up, because Amy said Raymond was late for school," said a second.
"Then later Denise asks Phil to pick up Raymond from nursery. I’ve just checked online and Raymond was born in 2017. He’s 6 years old. Making him in year 1 at school."

However, what year Raymond goes to school is going to be the least of their worries as Denise's policeman husband Jack Branning starts looking into Ravi.
Playing with fire by having an affair with the bad boy, her ability to keep things under wraps has already verged on disaster as she struggled to keep her story straight.
Jack even found the hotel room key she was supposed to use for her rendezvous with Ravi before she'd left the house.
This doesn't bode well for either Jack or Ravi considering Denise has already been confirmed to be a potential killer come Christmas Day.
In a storyline dubbed "The Six", Denise is one of six women responsible for the death of someone at the end of this year alongside Linda Carter, Kathy Beale, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater and Sharon Watts.
Could this be the start of something far more dangerous than Ravi, Denise or Jack could imagine?
