EastEnders fans spot error as Denzel left fighting for his life after car crash

EastEnders fans were left scratching their heads after watching Kim crash her new car into the Arjee Bhajee on Monday evening.

During the second instalment of the week, both Kim and Denzel were trapped inside the vehicle as Mitch attempted to rescue them.

Emergency services eventually arrived and it was Mitch who managed to get the jammed door open while several paramedics failed.

As Mitch was dragged away, Callum was the one who pulled Kim from the wreckage.

After Denzel was cut out of the car, he was taken to hospital where doctors revealed he needed emergency surgery to address his internal bleeding and ruptured spleen.

But fans spotted a few blunders following the crash, with many pointing out the car wasn't going fast enough to inflict life threatening injuries.

"What even was that car crash?? Like they weren't even going fast enough for the airbags to deploy. They shouldn't be unconscious or have head trauma," wrote one viewer.

Another fan fumed: "Tonight is so fake and unrealistic: who’d have thought a car crash at 10mph (max) could have caused so much trauma".

A third person added: "I have a few issues with the “car crash” on #EastEnders the car was travelling about 10 mph, why did the fire brigade need to cut the car open they could of just opened the door".

While others questioned why there was such a struggle with Kim's car door.

A viewer shared: "Hero Cal rescuing Kim (who could have just opened the door and got out herself)" alongside a laughing face emoji.

"So Callum casually gets Kim out after everyone struggling lmao #EastEnders", penned another fan.

Echoing these thoughts, someone else chimed in: "I'm confused, how come Mitch couldn’t open the door? #EastEnders", while a third chimed in with: "Did Mitch try using the car door handle… Callum got it open easy enough #EastEnders. "

A fourth joked: "Mitch loosened that door so that Callum could walk over and open it easily. #EastEnders."
