EastEnders fans spot huge clue linking Alfie to Christmas murder flashforward

EastEnders fans think they have spotted a new huge clue that could link Alfie Moon to the explosive Christmas 2023 murder flashforward episode.

Earlier this year and in a BBC One soap first, fans were shown a 2023 flashforward scene of six of Walford’s much loved matriarchs, Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) faced with a dead body.

In the moments that unfolded at the Queen Vic, the group of women all stood round in shock in a festive-looking pub and looked down at a mystery man lying on the floor – with it unclear whose body it is and what’s happened.

Not much was said between the six of them, but Stacey was covered in blood with a knight in armour behind her, Denise was holding a smashed bottle of Champagne and Sharon wore a bloodied wedding dress as she leant over the body, confirming the person was dead.

And during Thursday's episode of EastEnders, eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a new clue, which could link Alfie to the scenes.

During the latest episode, Stacey was desperate to pay back Shiv, the loan shark, and Alfie came up with an idea to raid Big Mo's stock of wedding dresses, which fans previously have linked to the flashforward episode.

Stacey was terrified as time ticked down to Shiv's deadline but Alfie thankfully managed to save the day with seconds to spare as he handed over the cash.

To which Shiv cryptically said: "Let's hope your knight in shining armour shows up next time, hey?"

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to pick up on the comment as there is a knight in armour standing behind Stacey during the Christmas flashforward – as they linked it to Alfie.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Knight in shining armour” #EastEnders."

While a different account added: "Knight in shining armour?? Alfie??? #EastEnders."

It comes as EastEnders appeared to hint at Sharon's groom as next week's spoilers see Keanu Taylor propose to the Walford icon.

Sharon remains torn but a frank conversation with Sam convinces her to re-think and she invites Keanu over… will she accept his proposal? And if not, what does this mean for the on-off couple?

EastEnders continues on Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One.
